9 things I’ve learned that I wish I’d learned much sooner

My wife would never admit it, but she likes clutter, at least to some extent. She also likes having open space to create, dance, and generally be able to move around in our home. It’s just that, on some very deep (and possibly even unconscious level), she likes at least some clutter in our home, and I don’t.

From the moment I met her, I knew that she was prone to collecting “stuff”. Even before we got married, when we would hang out in her 1 bedroom apartment, the clutter was there and it was obviously not going anywhere anytime soon.

Maybe you’re in a similar situation, if so perhaps some of what I’ve learned about living with someone you love who loves clutter will resonate or sound familiar.

At the beginning of our marriage, the clutter was not a big deal. We did not have kids yet, but we did have an empty house ready to be filled with “stuff”.

My wife’s always been a shoe lover, she’s into fashion (understatement); so much so that shoes and clothing are a big part of who she is. This is something I love about her, and it works out very well since I don’t like to shop!
