It’s OK to leave your tech career, and you aren’t the only one that’s considering it.

It seems like every day I see online posts, articles, or videos about people wanting to get into the field of information technology/ software engineering. As someone who’s been a software engineer for many years now, I think that’s great. We need more good technologists to enter the field..

That said, this article is for the technologists, like myself, that are seriously considering leaving the tech field, not getting into it. If you’ve been in tech for a while and are thinking of leaving, you are not alone.

It’s time to recognize that some of us technologists may be ready to move into new careers and new frontiers, like starting our own businesses, or finding entirely new vocations.

Some of us technologists, I think, are ready to leave technology, but are not ready for traditional “retirement”. If so, this article is for you..
